Support Red Mountain Park

U.S. Steel's gift depends on the Black Warrior - Cahaba Rivers Land Trust's ability to raise the remaining $7 million over the next two years—that has been done! Now that this has been accomplished, we need to continue to raise the public awareness about this park, create a vocal and visible support base, and encourage community leaders to help make Red Mountain Park a reality. City legislators and civic leaders need to hear that the citizens of Birmingham and Alabama are behind the ideals of recreation and natural appreciation the park represents so that they can help channel community funds toward the project. 4 Ways to Help

Subscribe to Our Email NewsletterSubmit your email address to receive periodic updates on park developments and meetings. You will receive a confirmation email and an opportunity to opt-out of the list at any time in the future. While we hope soon to be bragging about our large subscriber base, we will never divulge, share or sell email addresses or any other personal information pertaining to this list. That is a promise. Contribute to the Red Mountain Park Fund >In June of 2005, the Land Trust received an incredibly generous gift of $100,000 from the Hugh Kaul Foundation to establish the Red Mountain Park Development Fund. This fund, which handles donations for park acquisition and improvements, shows the interest of the private sector in the park's future and offers an opportunity for the community to express ownership in the project. Make a tax-deductible donation directly to The Red Mountain Park Fund. Be sure to mark Red Mountain Park as the designee to insure your gift is properly credited. All contributions are greatly appreciated. Note: The Red Mountain Park Fund is a grantmaking fund of The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, which handles all gifts to the fund -- by credit card, check or stock transfer. |
