Red Mountain Park Celebration Set for This Tuesday Evening (October 30th)

RMP Celebration To celebrate the recent closing on the Red Mountain Park Land--yes, it is now in the hands of the Park Commission--an open gathering is set for 5:30pm at the B & A Warehouse in downtown Birmingham. Entertainment will be provided by two super local bands, Three on a String and Act of Congress, and there will be plenty of after-work food and beverages. Please join us as we thank all the folks (that's you) that have gotten us this far and look forward to getting construction underway. Click to see the full poster

Alabama Power Pledges Support for City Parks

The Alabama Power Foundation announced Friday that it plans a $500,000 contribution to the three greenspace project in the Birmingham Area. Red Mountain Park will receive $175,000, the Railroad Reservation Park will receive $225,000 and Ruffner Nature Preserve will receive the remaining $50,000. We applaud Alabama Power for this bold statement and hope this serves to excite other companies in the city to help our local park development. Read the full article >
