Birmingham Fire and Rescue

Red Mountain Park would like to say a special “thank you” to Birmingham Fire and Rescue!  These men put on a Ropes Rescue Training session at the Park today.  Your service to the community does not go unnoticed, and is greatly appreciated.  We admire their professionalism and dedication to training!!

National Trails Day Event

May 14th, 2012

Red Mountain Park is excited to announce that in partnership with the American Hiking Society, we will host National Trails Day!  Please join us June 2, 2012 from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. here at the Park.  We will have a fun hike, refreshments, lots of give-a-ways and a special Trail dedication.  Our Zip Line will also be open to all of our guests.  This event is sure to be fun for the whole family!!  We are looking forward to a great turn out and hope to see you there!!  For more information please visit the American Hiking Society website www.americanhiking.org we will also be posting more information on our web page, so stay tuned!

Red Ore Zip Tour Directions

Directions to our office from I-65 (park hikes begin in the adjoining cul-de-sac):  Take Lakeshore Parkway headed west (toward Bessemer) for aproximately 3 miles, turn right onto Frankfurt Drive and then right onto Lyon Lane.  Our address is 277 Lyon Lane.

To get to the Red Ore Zip Tour:  Please follow the Eureka Mines Trail (Signage is available)
